What do Chiropractor’s do?
Chiropractors are trained to ensure your nervous system is free of spinal nerve interference. They understand the need for whole body wellness. Wellness is a state of health where your body is free of spinal nerve interference, allowing you to move well and live well. Chiropractors discover nerve interference within the spinal column using examinations and x-rays and then with specific chiropractic adjustments, correct them. Your body is then free to heal itself and function at an optimal level. Chiropractors, also, help you achieve a higher quality of life with advice on posture, stretches and exercises, diet, attitude and sleep.
What is a Subluxation?
The body depends on the free flow of nerve communication from the brain, through the spinal column, to every part of the body. When any of these nerves become interfered with, the vital communication system is interrupted. This dysfunction in communication is called a subluxation.
What causes a Subluxation?
With children, subluxations often occur during the birth process. All of the pulling, pushing and twisting on the newborn’s neck and spine during the birth process often cause one or more vertebra to be pushed out of place, resulting in subluxations. As we grow up, subluxations are caused daily by falls, sports activities, accidents/injuries, bad posture, physical and emotional stress and many other things. By having a chiropractor correct these subluxations throughout your childhood and the rest of your life, your family can achieve an improved quality of life.
What are some warning signs of Subluxations?
Subluxations can cause pain and muscle spasms. However, most of the time, you will not experience any symptoms until subluxations have become chronic. Headaches, back pain, stiffness, pain or numbness and tingling in the extremities and various other symptoms are common signs of subluxation.
What does it feel like to get adjusted? Does it hurt?
No. Chiropractic adjustments feel great! Chiropractic patients are very comfortable and relaxed with getting adjusted. An adjustment should not be painful, although you may feel a slight stretch in the muscles. Overall, when you allow the vertebra in spine to return to their normal position, there is less stress and tension on your muscles and ligaments.
Is Chiropractic care safe?
Yes. Chiropractic care is definitely one of the safest types of health care. Without the use of drugs or surgery, chiropractors utilize a conservative approach when correcting vertebral subluxations. One just needs to compare the malpractice premiums paid by chiropractors to that paid by medical doctors. Chiropractors premiums are approximately 1/20 the price of the premiums medical doctors pay.
What Will It Cost?
The fee for services will depend on the severity of your condition and the type of care you need. We believe in the value of wellness care for you and your family and have maintained a pricing structure that allows care for all budgets. Our office participates in most insurance programs.

How Can I Maintain My Health?
By eliminating interference in nerve function you can improve your health. Chiropractic care not only results in the correction of numerous health problems, but also prevents many conditions from developing. Chiropractors are the only professionals trained to detect and correct any vertebral subluxations you may have. Subluxations impair nerve function, ultimately hindering your potential!!

Dr. Coffey is my 2nd chiropractor and the first thing I noticed was his evaluation was much more thorough than my last chiropractor and his explanation of my systems was a complete 180 from what my old chiropractor told me. It made me realize why getting a 2nd opinion is so important, I was totally lied to and sold into a two year rehab for something that didn't exist. Dr. Coffey had me stand naturally and was concerned about how my body naturally held posture. My old chiropractor hooked me up to all kinds of weights on my head and arms, then told me I had issues that Dr. Coffeys x-rays totally proved wrong and he went over each x-ray in detail and allowed me to ask questions.
Dr. Coffey is always upbeat and enjoyable to work with and I feel like he genuinely cares about my health. I've had chronic back pain for years and after a month it now is completely gone except for rare occasions after golf. His staff is friendly and I enjoy chatting with them while I wait.
Coffey Chiropractic is like the video only of back pain. If you don't go to Dr. Coffey, you'll be sorry.
